ディエゴ・シンはアルゼンチン生まれ。ケネディー大学で社会コミュニケーション学を学んだ後、同大学院美術科を修了。2003年から04年にかけて、マイアミのMiami Light Projectにてキュレーターとして活動し、Visual Arts Programをディレクションしました。
主な展覧会に、マイアミのFredric Snizer Galleryでの個展、マイク・ケリーやワンゲチ・ムトゥ、ダグラス・ゴードンらと出展したグループ展「I Feel Mysterious Today」（パームビーチICA）、「Pinata Party」（Gavin Brown’s Enterprise、ニューヨーク）、「For all and no one」（ノースマイアミ現代美術館）、タル・Rやクリスチャン・ホルスタッド、ジョナサン・プラプチャック等と出展した「Hanging by a Thread」（ムーア・スペース、マイアミ）、「Think Warm」（小山登美夫ギャラリー）、「Drawn In Drawn Out」（フロリダ・アトランティック大学）などがあります。
ディエゴの作品はキュレーターのドミニク・モロンによって以下のように評されています。「自画像としても機能している想像的別世界を作り出し、芸術の伝統が持つ可能性をラディカルに押し広げつつあるー作品は鑑賞者を作家の自己神話的な策略へと誘い込み、現実に構築されたセルフアイデンティティーと、架空の魔法とを隔てる境界はこの上なくアンヴィバレントである。」
