The fourth show of the young Japanese artists series is a solo exhibition of Yutaka Watanabe. Yutaka Watanabe was born in 1981 in Tokyo. In 2007, he received an M.F.A. in painting at Musashino Art University's College of Art and Design. With a mixture of artificial materials and nature, he paints landscapes in an odd structure. The more we peer at the complicated, inscrutable scene Watanabe paints which combine unique colors far removed from the descriptive colors, we feel dejavu and confusion at the branch-like things dancing in the image, or the house-like things lingering in the background. In this exhibition, twenty-one new paintings will be showcased. Please enjoy the further challenge of the artist who says "I imagine an anonymous place and blank space, then embody and reconstruct the power and memory which remains".
