Aiko Yuno was born in 1993 in Osaka. She completed an M.F.A in Mixed Media at Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2018. In 2017 she undertook a short-term exchange program at the Royal College of Art, London. In 2018 she participated in the Kuandu Residency Program, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan. She currently lives and works in Kyoto.
Her major solo exhibitions include “When I’m small” (Tomio Koyama Gallery, 2021), while she has also participated in group shows such as “CAF Award Exhibition” (Daikanyama Hillside Forum, 2017), “Gunma Biennale for Young Artists” (2019), “Kyoto Perspective” (ANB Tokyo, 2021) and “Aiko Yuno, Kenryou Gu “HOW TO RECORD THE PAST, HOW TO LET GO THE PAST?”” (CADAN Yurakucho, 2023).
Based on the gap and emotions lying between childhood and adolescence, she works in a wide range of media, including painting and sculpture, using diverse techniques and materials such as metal, resin, ceramics, and acrylic paint.
